Senior Data Engineer - Phoenix

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree, or four years of relevant education and/or experience.
• Six years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or software development implementing data solutions, including at least two years in data engineering or data management.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver data solutions end to end, including building, managing, and optimizing pipelines across cloud environments and curating and modeling data for different consumers and products, such as data marts, data lakes, and operational analytics applications.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and how to apply them.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Proficiency with cloud technologies and tools.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Kafka, APIs, Python, data modeling, Fivetran, and Git or other version control tools is valued.

Responsibilities:

• Lead or engineer end-to-end data solutions, including analysis, solution design, pipeline development, testing, deployment, scheduling, and production support.
• Design and implement complex data engineering and analytics solutions using emerging technologies and methodologies.
• Build, manage, and optimize data pipelines, including data transformations, models, schemas, metadata, quality, and workload management.
• Lead team design reviews and recommend innovative architectural approaches.
• Translate business features into technical stories and approaches, presenting recommendations to leadership and influencing technical decisions.
• Develop proofs of concept and prototypes for complex solutions and present them to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Establish effective defect management, root-cause analysis, and resolution processes.
• Help develop, maintain, and enforce data development tools and standards; conduct regular code reviews to improve quality and ensure compliance.
• Build pipelines that extract data from internal and external applications into the Data Platform.
• Help set the teams technical direction and mentor team members.
• Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in line with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

The salary range is $127,310–$243,340, with actual pay varying by location and experience; employees may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.
