Senior DB2 z/OS Database Administrator

Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• We require 12 years of combined database administration experience with DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server 2008 R2/2012, and Oracle 10g or later.
• We value experience with our integrated database infrastructure and knowledge of our Financial Management applications and integrated application environment.
• We require advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS application integration, performance management, database administration, upgrades, catalog maintenance, and subsystem point-in-time recovery.
• We require advanced knowledge of JCL and in-depth knowledge of the z/OS integrated platform, CA GEN model management and application object support, ISPF, ASG Scheduler, COBOL, and DB2 for z/OS and z/OS monitoring tools.
• We require in-depth knowledge of technical infrastructure implementation planning and coordination.
• We require solid working knowledge of z/OS started task creation and management, IBI z/OS service support, AFOPER commands, RACF, CICS, IOF, disaster recovery requirements, Oracle and MSSQL application integration and database administration, and infrastructure change verification testing.
• We require working knowledge of z/OS EXITs, BJS, Windows Servers, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, and Azure.

Responsibilities:

• We rely on this role to carry out daily database operations and administration across DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS environments.
• Plan, design, implement, and support database structures.
• Monitor and tune database performance.
• Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.
• Review SQL code.
• Help train and mentor technical staff, and perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested.
