Senior DevOps Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience automating Linux operating system and software patches and upgrades across multiple environments using tools such as Ansible.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Bitbucket or Git source control management, including branching, merging, configuration, and administration.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience automating build and deployment processes, including database changes, with tools such as Ansible.
• 7+ years of experience developing automation scripts, operational utilities, and workflow scripts using Python, Bash, or Shell.
• 2+ years of experience building and packaging applications with Docker and managing and scaling containerized workloads with Kubernetes.
• 4+ years of experience provisioning infrastructure, configuring systems, and managing environments using Terraform and Ansible.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• 2+ years of strong knowledge of AWS and its infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Ansible Tower/AWX, YAML, automation best practices, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Experience debugging deployments, validating configurations, and improving release reliability is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Lead automation efforts for infrastructure provisioning, builds, and deployments to improve the delivery and operation of enterprise applications.
• Create and maintain Ansible playbooks, troubleshoot automation issues, and support consistent, reliable deployments across environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to enhance CI/CD workflows.
• Work with IT management to improve software engineering processes and practices for continuous integration and deployment of application changes.
• Coordinate with architects, developers, the deployment team, and database administrators to automate a range of tasks.
