Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

Requirements:

• 10+ years of hands-on software design and development experience.
• Expertise in Java, Python, and Linux.
• Deep experience with low-latency messaging systems such as 29West or Kafka.
• Proficiency in KDB+ or other time-series databases.
• Experience building scalable, distributed, asynchronous, event-driven applications.
• Advanced knowledge of low-latency design patterns and performance optimization.
• Experience with Capital Markets or brokerage systems, especially order management.
• Solid understanding of the FIX protocol and FIX engines.
• Experience with AI developer-assistance tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, and uDeploy.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications to AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a collaborative team.
• Willingness to support production systems and participate in on-call rotations, including occasional weekend support.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Must be willing and able to work on a W-2 basis.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop distributed, event-driven trading systems designed for low latency and high throughput.
• Design and implement asynchronous processing frameworks and resilient messaging services.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver robust, end-to-end trading workflows.
• Lead platform performance tuning and optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and encourage engineering best practices.
• Support production and non-production environments and participate in a weekly on-call rotation.

The position offers a W-2 hourly rate of $70–$80, with pay determined in part by skills, experience, and other compensable factors.
