Senior Network Security Engineer

Requirements:

• Relevant education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting production networks across on-premises data centers and AWS environments
• Experience configuring firewalls and working with routing, switching, network security, and incident response
• Working knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IPsec, HSRP, and QoS
• Experience with hybrid-cloud networking, including AWS VPC networking and AWS Direct Connect
• Ability to work independently, prioritize incidents, and communicate clearly during operational issues
• Preferred: Experience with FortiGate, Cisco ASA, Akamai WAF, or anti-DDoS solutions
• Preferred: Experience with Arista switches, Cisco routers, F5 LTM/GTM, or Infoblox DNS/DHCP
• Preferred: CCNP, CCIE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, CISSP, or equivalent practical experience
• Preferred: Experience with Infrastructure as Code and network automation
• Preferred: Experience with security orchestration or workflow automation tools such as Tines, n8n, or Dify
• Preferred: Experience executing or supporting live data-center-to-AWS migration cutovers

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary Level 3 escalation point for complex network infrastructure, routing, and security configuration issues across on-premises data centers and AWS
• Configure, maintain, and optimize FortiGate and Cisco ASA firewalls, along with Akamai WAF and anti-DDoS solutions protecting core endpoints
• Identify and resolve network issues, bottlenecks, and vulnerabilities across Arista switches, Cisco routers, F5 load balancers, and Infoblox DNS/DHCP services
• Develop and maintain documentation covering network topology, hybrid-cloud designs, system security configurations, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to apply Infrastructure as Code and automate network deployments and security workflows
• Research and use automation and AI tools, such as Tines, n8n, and Dify, for security orchestration or network task automation
• Provide escalation support outside office hours when needed for major live cutovers or critical network emergencies
