Senior QA Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on QA automation experience.
• Strong JavaScript skills and experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, or similar.
• Strong API automation expertise and familiarity with tools such as Postman, Newman, or SuperTest.
• Experience with AWS services, including CloudWatch, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, or EC2.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of software testing best practices and end-to-end testing strategy.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results with minimal direction.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Nice to have: experience with infrastructure-as-code or serverless frameworks, familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures, or mobile automation for iOS and Android.

Responsibilities:

• Own, maintain, and expand our existing end-to-end automation test suites.
• Design, develop, and run automated tests using JavaScript-based frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Build automation coverage across API, UI, microservices, and integration layers.
• Partner with developers to support testability, stability, and feature quality.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and work with DevOps teams in an AWS environment.
• Investigate test failures, triage issues, and provide clear debugging feedback to engineering teams.
• Help shape QA strategy, best practices, and process improvements.
• Mentor junior QA team members when needed.
