Senior RPG Software Developer

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience developing applications with RPG on IBM i
• Strong experience with RPG IV / ILE RPG, CL, and DB2 for i
• Experience supporting Accounts Receivable finance programs is preferred
• Demonstrated experience working with legacy systems and modernizing existing codebases
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in an onsite team environment
• Willingness and ability to work 100% onsite

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain RPG applications that support core business operations
• Work with legacy RPG (RPG III/IV) and modern RPG (ILE / FreeForm RPG) codebases
• Maintain legacy systems using Visual RPG ASNA
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues promptly
• Contribute to system modernization initiatives, integrations, and performance tuning
• Collaborate onsite with analysts, developers, and business users
• Maintain technical documentation and follow established development standards
• Support production systems and take part in on-call or scheduled support as needed
