Senior Software Engineer (Delphi)

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 7+ years of hands-on Delphi and SQL Server development experience
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software architecture
• Experience designing and developing enterprise-scale business applications
• Experience building scalable, highly available, high-performance software solutions
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and client/server application architecture
• Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
• Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor developers
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including testing, documentation, and code quality practices
• Self-motivated and collaborative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and see projects through to completion
• Preferred: Experience with FireDAC, the DUnitX unit testing framework, GitHub and modern source control practices, or ERP, accounting, financial, or energy industry software

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enhancements to our ERP and accounting software platform
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable application solutions
• Write well-designed, testable, thoroughly documented code in accordance with established development standards
• Participate in application architecture, technical design discussions, and solution reviews
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex development, testing, and production issues
• Implement software changes with consideration for system-wide impacts, performance, and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices
• Mentor developers and provide technical guidance across the engineering team
• Use version control and development tools to manage source code and releases
• Contribute to modernization initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
