Senior Software Test Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• Senior-level experience in software testing and test automation.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience writing automation scripts in Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium.
• Experience creating performance testing scripts using JMeter or comparable tools.
• Experience with manual functional, regression, usability, integration, remote access, and accessibility testing.
• Experience with web services testing and related tools.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, databases, and back-end testing.
• Experience preparing testing estimates, schedules, test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.
• Experience testing in an Agile development environment.
• Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr Scale for test development, execution, requirements traceability, and defect management.
• Experience with Section 508 testing using tools such as JAWS, SortSite, Dragon, WAVE, or Lighthouse.
• Experience supporting clients during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical teams and client stakeholders.
• Must successfully complete an NSF Suitability / Public Trust investigation before onboarding.
• Candidates outside the client location must be willing to relocate if required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of test automation engineers and set the overall automation strategy.
• Manage and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Review software design and requirements documentation to understand application functionality and testing needs.
• Develop and oversee effort estimates, testing schedules, test plans, test cases, peer reviews, and test summary reports.
• Conduct manual functional, regression, usability, integration, remote access, and accessibility testing.
• Create automated test scripts using Selenium or similar tools.
• Develop and run performance testing scripts using JMeter or similar tools.
• Build automation scripts from scratch using Java, JavaScript, Python, or other programming languages.
• Use AI across the testing lifecycle to support test plans, test cases, automation, and test reports.
• Test web services and develop scripts with web services testing tools.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in SQL, database, and back-end testing.
• Test key application features, establish and verify test data, and document results.
• Develop and execute functional and regression tests in an Agile environment.
• Maintain requirements traceability and manage software defects.
• Conduct Section 508 accessibility testing with applicable tools.
• Work directly with clients during UAT and communicate release testing defects and results.
