Senior / Staff Software Engineer (Agentic AI)

Requirements:

• Experience with systems involving asynchronous execution, state management, APIs, and fault-tolerant application design
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), context management, or knowledge retrieval systems
• Understanding of challenges related to nondeterministic AI behavior, including reliability, evaluation, observability, and failure recovery
• Ability to independently lead complex engineering initiatives, make architectural decisions, and deliver production-ready solutions
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup with substantial individual ownership
• Preferred: Experience with agent orchestration technologies such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or custom frameworks
• Preferred: Experience building persistent agent memory, coordinating multiple agents, or developing long-running autonomous workflows
• Preferred: Experience developing AI evaluation frameworks, tracing infrastructure, or model observability platforms
• Preferred: Familiarity with multi-provider LLM architectures, inference optimization, and model-routing strategies
• Preferred: Experience with secure tool execution, permissioned actions, or human-in-the-loop approval systems
• Preferred: Background building AI platforms for government, defense, financial services, healthcare, legal technology, or other highly regulated environments
• Preferred: Previous experience at an early-stage AI startup or in a Staff- or Principal-level engineering role
• Preferred: Experience building systems where source attribution, data provenance, and factual accuracy are essential
