Software Development Engineer, Enterprise Security Products

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience outside internships
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multithreaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• Experience with AI-assisted or agentic coding practices
• 3+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Experience building agentic coding processes, such as Ralph loops or parallelized agentic development

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered security products, owning their lifecycle from architecture through production for large-scale distributed systems that protect AWS customers
• Develop full-stack experiences, including front-end interfaces, back-end services, REST APIs, and middleware; deploy on AWS while supporting cloud-agnostic, multi-cloud environments
• Create agentic architectures, conversational interfaces, and automation workflows for AI-first security products
• Apply established and experimental AI tools and techniques to write, test, review, and deliver code across new and existing projects
• Plan implementations, estimate effort, and lead phased rollouts across systems and operations, taking accountability for outcomes
• Prototype, validate ideas with customers, and iterate on solutions
• Collaborate with security researchers, applied scientists, product managers, and UX designers to shape product direction and translate customer needs into technical solutions
• Participate in on-call rotations, investigate root causes, and improve system reliability, performance, and security
• Contribute to technical reviews, mentor teammates, and promote AI-first development practices while helping build the teams engineering culture
