Software Engineer - Dallas

Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline, along with at least two years of experience using one or more of these languages: Java, Scala, Flow, GraphQL, Python, SQL, or Shell.
• We need experience working with relational database management systems and SQL.
• We look for familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous development tools such as Docker and GitHub.
• We value strong verbal and written technical communication skills for collaboration across internal teams, leadership, external vendors, and third-party APIs or package libraries.
• We seek someone who is willing to challenge the status quo while applying a thoughtful and methodical approach to change.

Responsibilities:

• We design, develop, and implement highly scalable and reliable services and features across our marketing and tax tooling platform.
• We work with technologies such as Scala, TypeScript, GraphQL, SQL, Shell, and Google Cloud Platform, while staying open to newer tools that can strengthen our capabilities.
• We lead technical solutions from concept through deployment in close partnership with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams.
• We build impactful solutions for both member-facing experiences and internal tools.
• We improve the performance, scalability, and efficiency of systems that support millions of daily interactions.
• We identify and resolve complex technical issues across our environment.
• We mentor other engineers and help foster continuous learning and high engineering standards.
• We monitor production systems, troubleshoot critical problems, and support the operational excellence of our infrastructure.
