Software Engineer, Developer Productivity

Requirements:

• Strong Python skills
• Working knowledge of C++ or Java
• Strong Linux fundamentals
• Experience with developer tooling, CI/CD, or large-scale build infrastructure
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex in real engineering work; model training experience is not required
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach
• A degree in computer science or a related field is preferred; strong professional experience may be an alternative
• Experience at a large, well-regarded technology company is a strong fit, particularly with a record of rapid promotions; trading experience is a bonus
• Senior candidates should bring deep, hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering. Earlier-career candidates should have strong engineering fundamentals and some exposure to AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain the systems between engineers ideas and production, including build and test infrastructure, CI/CD, local environments, and internal tools
• Work with engineering teams across the firm to identify sources of wasted time and develop platform-level improvements
• Integrate AI-assisted engineering into everyday workflows, including coding agents and automated routine fixes, and assess new AI developer tools
• Develop AI workflows such as agent skills and configurations, automatic build-failure remediation, and ways to measure effects on developer velocity
• Accelerate builds and tests through distributed caching, profiling, and flaky-test quarantine
• Improve deployment pipelines, merge queues, and automated releases
• Build self-service development environments, CLI tools, service templates, and IDE integrations

The role builds tools and infrastructure that help engineers deliver trading software faster and with greater confidence. Salary is $250,000–$300,000, with highly flexible total compensation based on seniority, expectations, and performance. Seniority is flexible.
