Software Engineering Manager

Requirements:

• 7 or more years of experience preferred
• Strong software engineering expertise, including cloud platforms, Java, Java Spring, microservices architecture, and software development
• Experience with people management and leading engineering teams
• Preferred experience in Legal Technology, Compliance, Risk Management, RegTech, or related fields
• Preferred familiarity with legal research, document intelligence, contract lifecycle management, eDiscovery, or knowledge management solutions
• Preferred experience managing technology vendor and SaaS provider relationships
• Preferred experience leading cloud modernization, integration, or AI transformation initiatives
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts in terms of business value
• Ability to complete a background investigation
• For remote work, a dedicated private workspace and reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload are required

Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering vision, development, integration, and support of our Legal Technology ecosystem
• Build software, design solutions, resolve complex integration challenges, and apply Generative AI to legal operations
• Oversee legal technology platforms, including vendor applications, enterprise integration and orchestration services, and AI-powered legal solutions
• Design scalable cloud-native architectures and integrate legal products across the enterprise
• Deliver solutions using Agentic AI and Generative Intelligence platforms
• Debug production issues, design APIs, review architecture, and provide technical leadership
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Technology stakeholders
• Coach engineers, plan resources, and manage stakeholders
• Supervise employees

Compensation is $120,725 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
