Software Engineering Specialist - DV Cleared

Requirements:

• Active DV Clearance is mandatory.
• Strong hands-on experience in software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation.
• Experience delivering solutions in complex technical environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD, automation, and modern engineering practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Willingness to work onsite five days per week.
• Experience with relevant technologies across programming, cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, containerisation, operating systems, monitoring, version control, deployment automation, databases, security, or networking; experience across every listed technology is not expected.
• Desirable: experience in defence, government, or national security environments; secure cloud-native platforms; Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment frameworks; DevSecOps; or technical leadership and mentoring.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions.

• Collaborate with software development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
• Support automated testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to technical documentation, engineering standards, and best practices.

Our engineering capability is expanding across software development, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and automation, with a focus on modern engineering practices, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, cloud-native technologies, and secure software delivery. Roles are based in London, Cheltenham, Manchester, or Ipswich, with five days onsite per week. Salary is up to £100,000 per annum, depending on experience and client requirements.
