SQA Engineer - Automation and AI

Requirements:

• 0–3 years of experience in software development, QA automation, or related technical work, including internships or academic projects.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language, with an interest in developing automated testing solutions.
• Understanding of software testing fundamentals, REST APIs, JSON, and modern web applications.
• Familiarity with Git, debugging, modern software development practices, and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Pasadena, California, five days per week.
• Preferred: Experience with PyTest or browser automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
• Preferred: Experience with AI-powered testing platforms, coding assistants, or autonomous AI agents.
• Preferred: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, and modern web architectures.
• Preferred: Exposure to AI/ML applications, robotics software, microservices, or complex integrated software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated tests for web applications, APIs, backend services, and system integrations.
• Build Python-based automation for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Use AI coding assistants and testing tools to speed up test development, expand coverage, and improve efficiency.
• Diagnose software defects, analyze test results, and work with engineering teams to find root causes and verify fixes.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows and improve test coverage, reliability, and scalability.

Target base salary is $90,000–$120,000 per year, plus benefits; the stated range applies to candidates in the Los Angeles Metro area and excludes additional compensation and benefits.
