Sr Business Analyst - Healthcare

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of related business analysis experience; 7 or more years may substitute for a degree.
• Experience in healthcare, health plan, insurance, or pharmaceutical fields.
• Practical exposure to medical appeals, claims, and large plan implementations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in high-pressure settings.
• Proficiency in analysis methods such as data flow modeling, use-case and workflow analysis, business process mapping, functional decomposition, and ROI modeling.
• A bachelors or advanced degree is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business and functional requirements for complex initiatives.
• Create requirements strategies and management plans aligned with project plans.
• Communicate and validate requirements with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Maintain solution scope and requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead business readiness and communications planning for changes to technology, processes, and people.
• Coordinate and support training for effective implementation and desired outcomes.
• Develop procedures and specifications for system or process changes and coordinate implementation across teams.
• Plan and conduct post-implementation audits and establish customer feedback mechanisms.
• Analyze workflows, design and test solutions, and assess organizational impacts.
• Manage requirement change requests and maintain documentation.
• Develop and maintain performance reporting tools and ensure data integrity.
• Present findings and insights to business stakeholders and leaders.
• Identify business risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and escalate issues when needed.
• Build and support vendor relationships and assist with training.
• Provide oversight and peer reviews for less experienced analysts.

We are seeking a senior business analyst for a remote role supporting a large, multi-year health plan initiative focused on healthcare plan operations, including medical appeals, claims, and major plan implementations. This engagement is available on a W-2 basis and pays $35–$40 per hour; pay is determined in part by skills, experience, and other compensable factors.
