Sr. SDE - Embedded

Requirements:

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software language
• 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Preferred: 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Preferred: Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
• Must meet applicable export control eligibility requirements: be a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted to the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Responsibilities:

• Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust, or other languages in a real-time operating system environment
• Architect, design, and implement software for our satellite constellation
• Create software that communicates with devices and electronics using protocols such as I2C, SPI, RS-422, RS-485, and Ethernet
• Develop device drivers and system applications for flight code and flight management
• Collaborate with hardware teams on board bring-up and integration testing
• Participate in all phases of software development, from requirements and implementation through testing and operations

Annual base salary ranges from $168,400 to $193,500 depending on location; compensation also includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
