System Administrator - Albuquerque

Requirements:

• Associates degree, technical training certificate, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 7 years of progressively responsible enterprise systems administration experience.
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise IT environments at the server and data center level.
• Federal enterprise IT experience is preferred.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with VMware virtualization platforms and Microsoft enterprise management tools.
• Familiarity with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools and data center physical security tools and applications.
• Working knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Visual Basic .NET, C#, or similar languages.
• Ability to work independently, resolve complex technical issues, lead projects and technical teams, and communicate effectively across departments.
• Experience preparing project management and technical documentation, with the strategic ability to align technical solutions to enterprise and mission needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership as the Enterprise Systems SME for architecture, resilience, and long-term system strategy.
• Operate and maintain enterprise systems, including data center backup and recovery, system patching, performance tuning, resource optimization, upgrades, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Deliver Tier II and Tier III support while mentoring and assisting lower-tier teams.
• Architect and approve enterprise system designs, standards, and configurations.
• Plan, test, and execute disaster recovery activities.
• Lead shared services data center IT projects and complex technical initiatives, including documentation, timelines, and deliverables.
• Work directly with federal stakeholders, including Contracting Officers Representatives and Office of Information Technology leadership.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and operational best practices.
• Support data center physical infrastructure and security systems.
