Do you want to build modern software for critical logistics and transportation processes, and follow the customer all the way from need to result? At IMI, we deliver SaaS-based solutions that support warehousing, transportation management, delivery visibility, and checkout experiences, used every day by leading retailers and logistics providers. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who understands the customer’s world, can turn needs into precise requirements, and takes responsibility for what ships. You will work the way modern teams do, with AI as a natural part of how software gets built. About the Role You will be a natural part of the customer’s whole journey, from onboarding new customers to supporting and maintaining existing ones. Most of your time will be spent designing, developing, and improving our products and integrations, while also supporting customers and colleagues when technical expertise is needed. Unlike a traditional in-house development role, you will work directly with customers, particularly within integrations and technical onboarding in real-world logistics operations. You will work on new functionality, integrations, technical improvements, troubleshooting, and the continuous development of our solutions, in a cross-functional team with software engineers, architects, business consultants, and project managers. You will work with modern SaaS platforms, cloud-native services, distributed integrations, and business-critical systems that process large volumes of transactions every day. Our solutions are built on technologies including .NET, C#, SQL, TypeScript, Azure, and modern web frameworks, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, maintainability, and continuous delivery. Key Responsibilities: Translate customer and business needs into clear, testable specifications Design and develop new functionality and integrations between customer systems and our solutions, using AI tools and agents as part of your daily work, and own the quality of the result Develop and maintain business-critical software solutions, and troubleshoot issues in production together with customers and colleagues Assess business value, risk, and impact before and after changes Take part in customer onboarding, support, and maintenance as a technical specialist Contribute to product improvements, roadmap initiatives, and technical enhancements Your Profile We believe you enjoy combining software development with a customer-focused mindset. You are curious, collaborative, and motivated by solving technical challenges. You take ownership of your work, are comfortable working independently, and are proactive in improving products, processes, and ways of working. You can turn what you learn from customers into requirements that you or others can build and test against, and you balance business value, risk, and effort with long-term sustainability. You know what good looks like, and you can tell when code is not it, including code you did not write yourself. You are not afraid to ask for help when needed and appreciate knowledge sharing within a team environment. We Believe You Have: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Strong ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements The ability to read, understand, and judge code, particularly in our stack (.NET, C#, SQL, TypeScript), including code you did not write yourself Practical experience developing with AI tools and agents, and a good sense of where they help and where they fail Several years of professional software development experience, including making independent technical decisions regarding architecture, quality, and risk The ability to get up to speed quickly in a complex domain Experience with integration development and customer-facing technical roles within a service-oriented organization Experience with cloud platforms and modern architectural patterns Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English Preferred Qualifications: Experience with supply chain, logistics, transportation management, or warehouse management solutions Experience from a software product company Experience with Vue.js and Azure DevOps The position is primarily based in Linköping and offers a hybrid working model. Why IMI? IMI Supply Chain Solutions is a leading software provider specializing in sustainable logistics and order management. Our solutions are at the core of critical industries such as grocery retail and pharmaceutical supply chains. We are in an exciting phase of growth, offering you the opportunity to influence both our products and the way we work with product development going forward. We are proud to be Great Place To Work certified and offer a workplace with a strong sense of team spirit, a high degree of autonomy, and excellent opportunities for professional development. In addition, we provide a generous benefits package, including extra vacation days, a wellness allowance, and occupational pension contributions. Application Is this the right role for you?
