IT Quality/Test Engineer

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• We research and test the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, and systems.
• We work directly with the software development team.
• We focus primarily on SIL software testing and automation, with some HIL testing.
• We review software feature requirements and define test cases against acceptance criteria.
• We perform testing and document the results.
• We develop automated test scripts.
• We provide feedback to the development team on test outcomes and how to design software for testability.
• We collaborate with the team to understand requirements.
• We attend daily standups, story refinement meetings, and feature refinement meetings.
• We discuss software design decisions with the Software Architect.
• We maintain regular interaction with development and systems team members to review results and support design direction.
• We define and document test cases.
• We support the development team with automated testing.
• We help deliver high-quality software for an Operator Monitoring System with a focus on operator safety features.
