Oracle Database Developer

Requirements:

• Experienced Oracle Database Developer with strong expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, performance tuning, and database development in complex business environments.
• Experience supporting financial services, banking, or enterprise applications is preferred.
• Knowledge of Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c, or 21c.
• Advanced SQL skills and PL/SQL development experience.
• Experience developing packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise-scale Oracle database solutions and architectures.
• Lead logical and physical data modeling, schema design, and database development.
• Develop and review complex SQL and PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and jobs.
• Set database development standards, coding practices, naming conventions, and governance processes.
• Tune database performance using execution plans, AWR, ASH, indexing, partitioning, and SQL optimization.
• Design and support high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and GoldenGate.
• Lead database upgrades, migrations, patching, cloud adoption, and modernization projects.
• Implement database security controls, including roles, privileges, encryption, auditing, masking, and access management.
• Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, infrastructure and security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Conduct architecture, code, and design reviews, as well as technical assessments.
• Mentor database developers and engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Establish database capacity, scalability, availability, backup, and recovery requirements.
• Maintain architecture documents, data models, data dictionaries, standards, and operational procedures.
• Assess new tools and technologies and recommend database platform improvements.

The stated base salary range for this location is $110,000–$118,000 per year, plus benefits; compensation may vary by geography and other factors.
